If We Were Having Coffee… | Vol. 32

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’m back in Oxford and it’s the start of 3rd week already. Where is the time going?! I’m absolutely loving being back and my room this year is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l so I’m trying to make the most of it. There will be a room tour up on YouTube once I’ve finished decorating 😉

If we were having coffee,I would tell you that I’m going through my holiday photos and I still can’t get over how beautiful Uzbekistan is. Did you see my post – is it the most instagrammable place?!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that second year workload has seriously ramped up. I said to myself before the year even started that I wanted to work 9-5 Monday-Friday and I’m finding that I’m exceeding this. So. Much. Work. But it’s also good because I’m finding that I’m a lot more focused this year and I’m actually doing work, rather than procrastinating and messing around. Here’s to hoping it will all pay off!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that as a result of the insane workload (esp with the first week of term as we were set two essays *cries*), I’ve neglected this blog. It saddens me because I have so much great content planned and I just haven’t got round to writing it all up, sighhhh. Hopefully I’ll get back into the swing of things because there’s so much I have to say, and hopefully I haven’t lost any of you lovely readers <3

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’ve actually not been going “out out” at all. I went out once in Freshers’ Week (my only time at Bridge this term) and then I went to a Soul Train night at the O2 academy. It’s really surprising and totally unlike me, right? I guess that in itself is proof of how much work and other things I have on this term. I did, however, go to the Law Society’s Presidents Drinks event last Tuesday.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’m still looking to tick more Formal Halls off this year. I’ve got a post-graduate college, Saint Cross College, lined up this Wednesday. I’ll also hopefully go to Lincoln, Magdalen, St. Edmund Hall and Oriel this term too!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that New College held the BAME Inaugural Alumni Event which both Janpreet and I had been organising. It went really well and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I met various alumni who are now in careers that I’m interested in so it was definitely worthwhile. I’m looking forward to planning next year’s one already!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that my mum and family friend came down for Guest Night on Friday. The menu was probably one of the best they’ve had (I was seriously in food heaven). It was so lovely to see my mum and celebrate her birthday together – I’ve been so busy that I hadn’t even found time to phone home. My sister is visiting this coming week and I haven’t seen her since the beginning of September. I’m v excited.

If we were having coffee,I would tell you that I’ve had a couple of exciting meetings since getting back to Oxford. I’ve also finally met the other Oxford vloggers! We’ll all be working together to produce lots more fresh content for all of you. Keep your eyes peeled on Instagram or Twitter for all of the updates.
