If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’ve been home from seven months of adventures for two weeks now. It’s kinda nice being home but it’s strange getting re-accustomed to everything. There’s also a whole load of things I’ve been putting off (unpacking entirely for one!) But it’s also kinda scary just how quickly I’ve fallen back into this routine – my whole time away almost feels like a dream…
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’ve just got back from a trip to Paris! A short blog post will be up shortly on what I got up to but it did get cut short unexpectedly so I didn’t do as much as I had hoped. I’d forgotten how much I loved Paris (but I’d also forgotten how rude the French can be 😟).
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’ve really got into the app Duolingo. I always said I wanted to get back to learning French (I gave it up three years ago after getting a GCSE) and, since I was heading to Paris, I did a couple of modules on it. I’m actually kind of addicted; I think it’s a fab way to start learning a new language. It’s fun and interactive! 😝
I do think I’ve forgotten all of my Chinese though *cries*
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’m very upset with the EU referendum result and almost cried the day I found out. I can’t believe this is happening and if you followed my Twitter, you’d have seen my reactions and thoughts as things unravelled. I just pray that things can be reversed or that something good can come out of this!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’ve had such a lovely few days catching up with family members and friends. I’d tell you that I have a jam-packed month ahead and I’m so excited to be seeing people I haven’t seen in aaaages! Reunions are always cute aren’t they?
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I have really missed lazy days. I’m not ashamed to tell you guys that I spent all day in my pyjamas in bed watching YouTube videos and reading blog posts. 😉
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I launched a YouTube Channel! 😱 I’ve still got all of my gap year footage to show everyone and I’ve got lots of ideas to shoot more informative vids. I really want to inspire people to take gap years/travel the world 🌏✨
