shanghai in pics

I’ve finally got round to importing and editing a collection of photos from my latest trip to Shanghai. We spent five days being tourists and exploring the bubbling metropolitan city.

We wandered around markets and street stalls filled with small restaurants and shops selling small trinkets.

There were also parks, temples and gardens:OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

We had afternoon tea in the French concession area…

And there was even a day trip to Zhujiajiao (almost like a little Venice!)OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Processed with VSCO with c1 presetOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

  2. No matter how the other people and the media trash talk about Shanghai and pther parts of China, I dont believe them. Unless I presonally experienced it. China is a beautiful country and have a fast pace life now leading Asia in modernization. My Amore who travels in cities of China (like he is travelling in a convenient stores) told me that I will love it just like I like Philippines and Japan.

    • China really is a beautiful country, I hope you enjoy it when you visit! I can’t wait to read some of your posts ๐Ÿ™‚

    • It’s definitely a different city for China. I both like and dislike it (dislike mainly because it’s just like other huge western cities with skyscrapers etc. and you could easily wander around and think you’re not in China!)

  3. Very beautiful photos of Shanghai that you have here. For me Shanghai seems like a city of contrasts: old and new, traditional and modern, fast and slow. I’m planning my very first trip to China soon and Shanghai will definitely be on my list. Thanks for sharing!

    • Wow, I hope you enjoy China! There is so much to see – how long are you planning on staying for and which cities will you be visiting? I’m currently in Inner Mongolia now!

    • You definitely should visit Shanghai, though other cities in China should be higher up on your list, like Beijing, Chengdu or Xi’an!
